Maraetai isn't a new-build suburb. Sections here run larger than most of East Auckland, a typical property sits on roughly 850 square metres, almost all of it standalone houses rather than units or townhouses, and a lot of these homes have been in the same family for years rather than turned over recently. That usually means more established gardens and mature trees around the house, which we work around carefully, and often original or older cladding and paintwork that's had longer to pick up mould, salt staining and general grime than a freshly built home would. Coastal clifftop exposure along this stretch adds to that, the same salt air that feeds the pōhutukawa on the cliffs also settles on painted weatherboard and window joinery.

Do you offer house washing near Maraetai's wharf and beachfront, not just further inland?

Yes. The beachfront strip around the wharf and the clifftop properties further back are all part of the same patch we work in, being based just along the coast in Beachlands.

Does an older or established Maraetai home need anything different to a newer house wash?

Sometimes. Older paintwork and cladding that's had longer to weather can need a bit more care in the pre-treatment step, and established gardens mean we're more careful about what's nearby. We factor that into the quote rather than treating every property the same.

Do you cover Kawakawa Bay as well, or just Maraetai itself?

Kawakawa Bay is a bit further along the coast road, but it's within reach of our Beachlands base, get in touch and we'll confirm it for your address.

How much does house washing cost in Maraetai?
